Hillstone provides an opportunity to use Web 3.0 hosting service for free.
Hillstone Partners and 4EVERLAND has agreed to launch blockchain-based hosting service in Korea on Dec 9th. Hillstone Partners, a Korean private equity firm, will be the only official partner responsible for cooperating with Web 3.0 development company 4EVERLAND. Hillstone Partners is going to provide Web 3.0-based free web hosting service to local startups and early projects.
4EVERLAND is a blockchain-based cloud computing platform which utilizes Web 3.0 and IPFS (Inter Planetary File System) to offer decentralized, high-efficient, and low cost cloud network service. 4EVERLAND provides faster service speed than that of HTTP with decentralized nodes distributed all over the world. The company plans to expand its service to mass storage solution and network.
Web 2.0 uses centralized database that is controlled by the platform, and this system could be a serous threat to user privacy. But with Web 3.0, users’ data are not controlled by a centralized platform, and no one has the authority to terminate the server. Therefore, Web 3.0 has the advantage in protecting the privacy of users.
“We hope that we could help startups and developers reduce the web hosting cost, and we think that Web 3.0 could be applied to real services such as Vue, Next.js, Gatsby, Nuxt.js, Angular, React APP” says Derek Park, the CSO of Hillstone Partners. “In addition, Hillstone will be introducing more promising blockchain service to improve the blockchain ecosystem of Korea.”
